The REACH Initiative

The REACH, or Restore, Empower & Attain Connections with Hope, is a community-based organization that offers reentry support. Their mission is to provide collaborative community support for justice-impacted people by addressing reentry barriers and coordinating related services and resources. In addition to reentry assistance, they also believe in empowering individuals to become criminal justice reform leaders and organizers in their communities. Their Peer Reentry Navigator Program (R2N) program encourages self-development and connection to positive community alliances while developing successful justice reform leaders and advocates. The WV HIRE Program serves justice-impacted participants in Logan, Lincoln, Boone and Mingo Counties from the Day Report Center. The Peer Employment Specialist addresses barriers to successful reentry, but primarily focuses on issues surrounding employability. Services provided include assistance obtaining identification, reentry backpacks with essential supplies, resume writing, job interview mentorship, and connections directly to employers. Contact REACH directly for more information on programs and services.
