Verus Community

Verus Community

Description

Verus Community combines their efforts through the Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center and two Verus community homes. As a faith based nonprofit, staff and volunteers with the organization work to support men in transition from correctional facilities and treatment centers. Their holistic approach includes mentorship, residential housing services, vocational support and connections to other social services. The mission of Verus Community is to create a community of men who are strong in faith and equipped with the skills to help them permanently disrupt the cycle of incarceration. They lead with compassion and work hard to reduce the impact of the many barriers that men face when returning to the community with criminal convictions, and to combat the stigmas associated with living in recovery. For more information about specific services or availability at one of the Verus Community homes, individuals should contact the organization directly using the information on this page.
