They work with local organizations in serving the underserved population in their areas to help people receive the photo issued IDs they need for homes, jobs, food, medical care, voting, and so much more. Spread The Vote considers voting a potential rehabilitation tool for incarcerated people, particularly those eligible to vote while incarcerated. They also organize Inmate Voter Information and Registration Sessions and supply voters with registration and absentee ballot request paperwork and sample templates to help voters. Upon their release from prison, the institute enables many returning residents to regain their lost essential records.
