CASES

The Center for Alternative Sentencing and Employment Services (CASES) provides bail and prison alternatives, mental health treatment, and education and employment programs for juveniles and adults involved in the New York City justice system. CASES seeks to improve public safety by offering innovative programs that reduce crime and incarceration, improve behavioral health, encourage recovery and rehabilitation, and generate possibilities for community success. They envision a community where a person's prior criminal participation or mental health concerns do not restrict their ability to live their most extraordinary life. The organization aims to solve some of the city's most challenging issues through continuous innovation and the strategic disruption of ineffective responses to crime, addiction, and mental illness. Adult behavioral health treatments provided by CASES include community programs that offer intensive mobile treatment services and court based alternatives to incarceration and detention.
