LifeStyles of Maryland, Inc.

LifeStyles of Maryland, Inc. is a community based organization dedicated to ending homelessness in Southern Maryland. Their mission is to offer programs and services that center compassion and provide support to underserved individuals in the community. Whenever possible, staff help individuals to access residential services, food pantries, medical services, and vocational support. Currently, the organization is developing Southern Crossing, a transitional housing community that offers case management, financial services, culinary training, computer literacy workshops, and more. Residents may stay at Southern Crossing for up to 18 months as they work toward permanent self-sufficiency. Additionally, LifeStyles of Maryland maintains the Robert J. Fuller Transitional House for Men, a women's only facilities Martha's Place and Gayle's House, a domestic violence survivor community called Haven of Hope and the White Plains LifeStyles Center. Many of their housing communities focus on support for women with children who are fleeing domestic violence situations, but most will also serve individuals.
