The Latin American Youth Center was established in the late 1960s to serve low income youth in the Washington DC area. Today, the organization is recognized as one of the leading initiatives in supporting youth who experience generational or chronic poverty. Their mission is to empower young people to transition into adulthood well-equipped for stable, self-sufficient living.
