USAO District of Massachusetts Reentry Programs

USAO District of Massachusetts Reentry Programs include federally and state sponsored programs to support reintegration efforts. The goal of reentry programs and reentry courts is to assist returning citizens with their successful reintegration into society following their incarceration. Effective programs lower recidivism, increase public safety, and save the community money. Whether someone has been incarcerated for one year or twenty, returning to their community can be incredibly difficult. It is vital that returning citizens have the necessary supports to succeed as independent citizens. These programs provide life development skills, vocational skills and job placement services, educational opportunities and rehabilitative care. Some programs also help to facilitate transitional or permanent residential solutions in safe, stable neighborhoods. Treatment programs ensure that those in recovery for mental health or substance abuse challenges address the underlying conditions that contribute to incarceration. For more information about specific reentry programs, visit the USAO District of Massachusetts Reentry Programs website.
