Self-Help Center Los Angeles Superior Court

The Self-Help Center, also known as  Family Law Facilitator Office is a legal aid initiative run by the Superior Court of California, County of Los Angeles is a self-help services resource center that provides legal information and resources to self-represented court customers. Assistance may be in the form of in-person appointments on-site, workshops, referrals and/or telephonic assistance. The self-help resource catalog at the center helps the public find legal services provided by the Superior Court of Los Angeles, the California State Court, and various legal aid partners. They provide access to sign up for workshops, one-on-one appointments, select online guided interviews to complete court forms, and court website information in areas such as Divorce, Child Custody and Visitation, Child support including getting incarceration credits to modify child support, Evictions, Guardianship, Restraining order, Name change, Parentage, Conservatorship, and Small Claims. They also provide a collection of resources to assist you with your cases. It includes a Q&A section, resources and services provided by the court, bar association attorney referral services, and online information to help low and moderate-income people find legal aid referrals.
