DecARcerate works to end mass incarceration in Arkansas through community education, smart legislation, advocacy, and empowering the leadership of individuals personally affected by the criminal punishment system. They educate Arkansans through public events that center the stories and experiences of individuals who are directly impacted by the criminal injustice system. They support criminal justice and prison reform legislation. They work with people directly impacted by mass incarceration by placing them in positions of leadership and providing the training and resources they need to grow as organizers. They also campaign to End Solitary by working to educate the public on the torturous practice of solitary confinement, provide support to individuals being held in solitary, and pass comprehensive legislative reform. They also work to Curb Criminal Justice Debt
