Ionia County Inmate Programs
Ionia County Inmate Programs exist to provide targeted support for individuals returning to the Ionia community after incarceration. The goal is to offer ongoing and specialized services from the beginning of incarceration until individuals are released, focusing on developing the mindsets, habits and skills that will facilitate permanent reintegration. These programs focus on concrete vocational skills, conflict resolution strategies, treatment for substance abuse and mental health disorders, and more. Services fall into one of six categories: Life Skills Programs, Educational Programs, Jail Diversion Programs, Community Service Programs, Work Programs, and Substance Abuse. All individuals entering the Ionia County corrections system participate in a screening process to determine which services will best rehabilitate them and prepare them for a successful reentry into the community. For information about specific services or to enter into a specific support program, individuals should work directly with corrections staff to determine eligibility and any prerequisite work.
