Prison Congregations of America
Description
Prison Congregations of America (PCA) is a faith-based nonprofit organization dedicated to connecting churches with people impacted by incarceration. PCA aims to build a stable and sustainable prison congregations in every prison in America. A collaborative network of denominational mission developers, prison congregation pastors, and volunteers work together to achieve that goal. Staff at PCA is dedicated to developing and equipping communities of faith both inside and outside prisons for justice-involved men and women. Additionally, they are working to build prison congregations in partnership with the DOC, as the PCA program model is different from a traditional prison ministry. PCA develops and acts as a resource for national networks of ministries, congregations and denominations by practicing hospitality and advocacy for people impacted by incarceration. Support, guidance and reentry resources are also provided to individuals released to the community after incarceration.
