Dallas Leadership Foundation Reentry Program

Dallas Leadership Foundation (DLF) is a faith-based organization working on the root causes of issues faced by challenged communities, such as a lack of leadership. They aim to identify, affirm, and develop leaders to transform communities. Dallas Leadership Foundation's Prison Reentry program mentors incarcerated men working in partnership with local churches and organizations that serve the prison population. Operating a pre- and post-reentry program through designated dorms in Hutchins State Jail, DLF supports individuals seeking a fresh start to help them successfully return to society. In addition, DLF connects previously incarcerated individuals to resources such as clothing and medical care, employment help, and courses on substance free living. the program also encourages their efforts to reunite with their families and loved ones. The prison ministry at Hutchins State Jail allows DLF to oversee men through leadership development that consists of servant leadership, parenting, budgeting, and more. Upon release, some men from DLF's Faith-Based Dorm at Hutchins State Jail live in DLF's transitional house - Onesimus House.
