Delaware Office of Defense Services Kent County’s Court of Common Pleas Unit and Family Court Units

Delaware Office of Defense Services Kent County's Court of Common Pleas (CCP) Unit and Family Court Unit are located in Dover, Delaware. With one Supervising Attorney, three attorneys in the CCP unit and three attorneys in the family court, the Delaware Office of Defense Services (ODS) represents indigent clients in Kent county. Attorneys with the CCP unit represent individuals charged with misdemeanors and certain motor vehicle offenses, like Driving Under the Influence (DUI). Attorneys in the Family Court Trial Unit attorneys in the unit also represent adults involved in domestic violence cases. The mission of ODS is to make sure that the clients' Sixth Amendment rights to an effective lawyer and a fair trial are respected and realized. The ODS also maintains offices in New Castle, Kent and Sussex counties.
