Description
The Conasauga Judicial Circuit Public Defender's Office serves indigent criminal defendants in Murray and Whitfield counties. The Murray County Public Defender's Office is located in Chatsworth, GA. This office is staffed with Public Defenders, Staff Attorneys, and other legal staff providing legal representation to indigent defendants in the Georgia Court of Appeals, Georgia Supreme Court, Juvenile Court, Magistrate Court, Probate Court and the Superior Court. The mission of the Murray County Public Defender's Office is to make sure that each client whose cause has been entrusted to a circuit public defender receives zealous, adequate, effective, timely, and ethical legal representation, consistent with the guarantees of the Constitution of the State of Georgia, the Constitution of the United States, and the mandates of the Georgia Indigent Defense Act of 2003. They also conduct representation in such a way that the criminal justice system operates effectively to achieve justice.
