Forsyth County, NC Public Defender’s Office

The Forsyth County Public Defender's Office is located in Winston Salem, NC and provides legal representation to indigent criminal defendants in the state courts of NC and support services to criminal defense attorneys representing indigent clients. This office comes under the 21st District Defender. The Chief Public Defender, investigators and the staff of attorneys provide superior criminal law representation to the population of Forsyth County charged with criminal allegations ranging from juvenile delinquency to capital murder, and by counseling on collateral issues ranging from mental health concerns to immigration consequences of criminal offenses. The ofice is dedicated to the belief that every person, regardless of the accusation against them, deserves a thorough defense to protect their rights and challenge the State's case against them rigorously.
