The Harrison County Public Defender's Office in the 15th Judicial Circuit is located in Clarksburg, West Virginia. With one Chief Public Defender, one Deputy Chief Defender, four Assistant Public Defenders, two Paralegal and other legal staff, this office provides legal representation to adults and juveniles accused of a crime who cannot afford to pay for a lawyer in Harrison County. The Public Defender Services (PDS) administers the Harrison County Public Defender's Office. PDS funds all indigent defense for the State of West Virginia. They provide representation by two methods private attorneys on a court-appointed basis and full-time public defenders at public defender corporations.
