The Federal Community Defender Office for the Eastern District of Tennessee's Chatanooga Office is a branch community defender office for the Eastern District of Tennessee. With one supervisor assistant federal defender and five panel attorneys on staff, the Chatanooga office provides representation of indigent defendants in the Eastern District of Tennessee by appointment from the federal courts pursuant to the Criminal Justice Act (CJA). The Federal Community Defender Office for the Eastern District of Tennessee's Chatanooga Office is solely funded by an annual grant from the Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts.
